If the vessel was to identify activity within small range of the vessel, it would still be unable to defend its self due to the swift manoeuvrability of “say” pirates in smaller boats. Large vessels are unable to out run these smaller boats and such are prone to what we are seeing at the moment. Expert threat management of vessels combined with communication are key measures to combat threats to any sea going trade. There are other measures which can be adopted to counteract such hostilities towards any vessel. Our company designs risk management strategies for such events for sea, land and air going transport.
